A faithful rendering of the one-of-a-kind 1957 masterpiece from the premier American luthier of the 20th century.
This collector's dream has an extraordinary acoustic tone, with exceptional "feel" and playability. There are no electronics
to mute the sound of the fastidiously hand carved and hand tuned German spruce soundboard.
Of course the Teardrop looks stunning. The back, sides and are neck are hand carved from the most highly figured "fiddleback" maple,
finished in rich vintage sunburst. Luminous mother of pearl adorns the fingerboard, headstock and bridge, while extra-wide multi-ply
binding wraps every edge in luxury. The bridge, fingerboard and tailpiece are crafted of the finest black ebony. Gold-plated Grover Imperial
tuners complete the recipe. The D'Angelico Teardrop is made completely by hand in extremely limited quantities. No serious collection
is complete without this rare jewel.
